I had a hunch that the redfish bite was going to be on today, so I decided to meet my clients for the day at Ozello Keys Marina so we could slay the backwaters. The weather conditions were perfect for this time of year, and the tide wasn't an issue since we were in the mud boat. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better day. We're hitting every depression we ran into and pulling out some real quality fish. The redfish were hungry and didn't let a live shrimp sit for long at all.

In my last blog post, I touched on using a knocker rig while sheepshead fishing, and I gave it a try on the redfish today, and I can confidently say it's tried & true! I paired a Jim's 1/4 jig with live shrimp, and that combo allowed us to pull in redfish all day.
